William turned 8 on Friday! Nolan's family was visiting from Kansas so his first birthday present? Nolan slept over on Thursday. There was a lot of the "anything" game - I will explain later, Wii playing, light saber fighting and not to mention LAUGHTER. Man, we miss that kid (and his family). What happened on Friday? Cars 2 came out!! Perfect! So we went, and I called Q's mom (another good friend who moved, they stayed in state, but are about an hour away from us), and they met us at the theater, we also took cousin/bestie Tyler. Matty was speechless through the entire movie, which is saying A LOT. Honestly it was a tad bit long for my liking but it was GREAT! Mater totally stole the show. Nolan's parents met us after the movie, honestly I teared up a little when he got into their van. Q came home with us and we let them play before we took him to his grandparents. Again, listening to them play made my heart happy, I heard my son laugh his deep belly laugh and grin from ear to ear, two days in a row.
I was stressed beyond belief about Saturday, William got baptized, I had to give a talk. I haven't given a talk in church for about oh 9, yep NINE years! How have I dodged that bullet? I don't know. Maybe our currant ward got a memo from our last ward that I talked so long that the bishop had to stand up and stop me. I need to learn to calm down and trust my gut that everything will be fine, because everything was fine, in fact it was a GREAT day. I will post pictures soon. I promise.
We had about 37 family members and friends come to support us. I made BBQ chicken sandwiches, and family brought salads. William was beaming and just so happy. I can't tell you how happy and proud I am that I have a husband who honors his priesthood and was able to baptize and confirm our child. He did a great job, unfortunately Matty was sitting on my lap and asking me what my boobs were during the blessing part of it so I didn't hear much. We got William his own set of scriptures and the Star Wars III the Clone Wars wii game.
It was an amazing weekend! One filled with lots of love, laughter, family, friends, and feeling the spirit.
Don't be shy!

Day 6 & 7
Day 6 - Good Friends, I have had a lot of friends some have been with me for a LONG time, some were just my childhood friends, some were the girls that I talked about boys and makeup and going to dances with, some I danced or cheered with, but the best ones are the ones that I can get together with and no matter what we end up right where we left off and always have a good time. I know I always have some one to laugh with or cry with or just to talk to. I feel SO blessed to call my friends mine. Thank you friends.
Day 7 - My house, I know I complain that its too small ALL the time, but I'm thankful that we have somewhere to call home, this is our first home, we built it, we brought our babies home from the hospital to here. I love my neighborhood, I love where we live and I love my house, love grows best in small places, right?

Sighing a HUGE sigh of relief....
The ultrasound went great!! His spine, Yes he is still a he, no umbilical cord like Andrew thought, looks great and so does his brain and heart!! So no they cannot 100% rule out spina bifida but right now it looks promising.
Today we went to the Discovery Gateway in downtown SL, it was free admission today only! I made a donation so they also gave us free passes to the Ogden Dinosaur Park!! We met up with N's family so we could return him after the sleep over. When we first got there it wasn't busy at all, then Andrew and I left the boys with N and family and went to my doctors appointment. When we got back?? HOLY MOLY TONS of people!!! Luckily everyone was a-okay about leaving at that point. I am SO happy we went, the kids loved it and Andrew hasn't been and he was impressed.
I LOVE fabulous days, everyone needs to have them every now and then!
