I'm SO not a yogi!!

Some of you know I'm trying to bust off all this lovely weight that I'm carrying around, so I was able to join "The Difference" which offers a wide variety of aerobic classes. My awesome friend Alice and I are trying out as many as we can to see which ones are our favs, so far we've tried Total Body Sculpt, Intervals, Extreme Intervals and the other night we tried out Yoga....... I've ALWAYS wanted to do Yoga and thought it would be something I would enjoy... ummmm NO not so much. I'm just not flexible AT ALL, I never have been, even when I was dancing and streaching everyday I still wasn't, but I think, " it'll be okay its all about breathing and holding poses, right...?" So we get there and I swear we were one of the first ones there but I went to use the bathroom and when I come out all the people that have at least been there more than once or who have these tiny bodies have made a circle, and it seemed like they were all hiding in the back so where does that leave me space?? Front and Center! The whole time I felt like the biggest idiot and biggest in every sense of the word... like oh here let me bend over further so you can get a better view, still not good enough? Let me twist my hips so its squared off, next time I'm just going to paint a giant target on my butt..... And why bother with a sports bra? My girls just seem to want to be seen... oh the joys...

Ha ha!! That is freaking funny! I tried Gentle Yoga last night with my friend Cher. It was alot easier to do than other yoga classes I have taken, bot to say it still was hard.

lol about your girls! Mine have the same issue! I wear a sports bra with swim suit at water aerobics so they don't bounce out! eek!

Oh and I tagged you on my blog!

HAHA! What a funny post! I know how it feels to feel so out of place. I went to a pilates/yoga *I can't remember which) and we had to use the big ball to balance on and I felt like such a goof! But I do yoga at home (and my boys have jumped in on the stretching like it was no big deal). But, good you for getting out there and getting in shape!

P.S. I love your new blog look!

Tiffany, I was right there with you but it was SO much more funny to here you talk about it here. Yeah, I'm not much of a yogi either but I'd take it 10 times over extreme intervals! I'm dying just thinking about it!

That sucks. I am so sorry. It is not something that you want to try for the first time in right front of a bunch of strangers. Keep in mind that they had a first time too!

I have a hard time with Yoga too! I have a hard time taking it seriously! I love Pilates though! Good Luck Tiff! I am excited for you! I know you can reach your goal>even though you are beautiful anyway!

Hahaha! That was so funny, Tiff! I am so NOT flexible either, even stretching and working out every day doesn't make it any better. I've NEVER been able to even touch my toes without bending my knees! It could've been worse for you though. You could've ripped a loud fart in front of everyone or something! Haha! Good luck with your goal though, you'll do great! I just know it! :)

I am a yogi, yes it is true, I love it!! I started out really slow and at my own home, I dont think I could have done it in a class!! Get some video's and try it at home! I have been doing it for along time now and love it.
