It didn't work

I did hcg for 2 weeks, I did the drops not the injections.  So for those that don't know how it works, you take hcg under your tongue 3 times a day and you only eat 500 calories. You are supposed to lose 1-3 pounds a day, which I lost 6 pounds in 3 days.  Then I went to a Healthy Women's Expo with my grandma and would you believe it there was NO SALAD!! At a Healthy Women's Expo!!!  Weird. So I did the best I could and the next day I gained 2 pounds, so that day I did an apple day where you only eat 6 apples for the day.  The next day I had lost the 2 pounds, so I went back to the 500 calories and then I gained 5 pounds!! I was careful, I didn't cheat at all, and I didn't lose weight, so I stopped doing it because only eating 500 calories is HARD! The only person I know who has done hcg and kept the weight off is my aunt Kim aka Auntie Princess, so I got my hcg from the same person that she gets hers from, I was very disappointed that it didn't work...

So now I'm doing Cheat Your Way Thin. Its basically carb cycling. So far, its going well. I've been doing it for a week and I'm down 5 pounds. I want to be able to wear some of my clothes to Disneyland and not have to wear pants... On that note, my grandparents are getting rid of A LOT of stuff, including my prom dress, my cheerleading uniform (I saved it from the donation box), and my wedding skirt that I wore under my dress to make it poofy.  My cheerleading skirt can fit on one of my thighs, I'm not kidding, my thigh is now the same circumference that my waist was 15 years ago.  Depressing, very depressing.

I have very strong feelings about HCG. None of them good!

Tiff,
I am not one to be handing out advice on the weight loss issue because I need to learn something too. But, I can't see how any of these "diets" that limit calorie intake and and tell you exactly what to eat will actually bring sustained weight loss. It is all about burning more calories than you're taking in. I have always found when I deprive myself of something, it just makes me want it more. And as soon as I go off a diet, I always gain the weight back. Again, not giving out advice but just my thoughts. Good luck to you! I wish you the best.

Sorry it didn't work for you! I know lots of people who have tried HCG and none of them kept the weight off. I don't know if it's so much the HCG or starving your body with only 500 calories a day. Then the minute you eat more you gain it all back. :(

Good luck with your new diet!

BTW, I changed my blog addy. Will you be sure to update my blog on your blog? The new site is http://lovinglifesadventures.blogspot.com. And be sure to follow to chica! Love you bunches.

Lunch next week?

I think we all are on own worst critics. From the pictures on your blog and when I saw you at Walmart, I think you look great!

I just barely started to eat healthier. I am trying to exercise more. Life just gets so busy! I only have one kid and she keeps me busy! I do love Jazzercise! Have you ever been? It is so fun! I rarely go because like I said I get really busy.

I agree with Kristina.

Of course people eating 500 calories are going to lose weight quick, you are only giving yourself body 500 calories.

My friend lost all of her hair on HCG, because her body wasn't getting the nutrients it needed.

I say...try something different. =)
