I'm an emotional wreck.....

I found out today that I have type 2 diabetes. This explains A LOT that has happened over the last year. I'm feeling really angry and emotional about it... I fear for my children. I'm scared to give myself shots everyday, 3 times a day.... I hope I can find lots of yummy healthy things to make.... I pray I can keep it under control and not get even more overweight, I'm just scared of the unknown....
I'm thankful I have great health insurance..... I'm thankful that it has been caught, but did it have to happen right before the holidays and all the yummy treats that come with them??

I can see how dedicated you have been to loosing weight. So I know you...now that you have the facts about what is going on in your body, you will be just as dedicated to making this right.
You can do this. Everything is going to be alright. I love you. XOXOXOXOXOXXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXXOXOXOXOX

I agree with the above comment. I know you can do this. You're such a motivated, determined person. This will only inspire you to live a healthier lifestyle. As I said on facebook, Boyd was diagnosed about two weeks ago, so although I'm not living with it in my own body, I am now trying to live with it in my family. The doctor gave Boyd a lot of hope though that if he can get his weight down and more physical activity he could most likely get off the medication. That's what I am shooting for now. That medication is expensive! Anyways, I wish you luck. Love you, You can do this!

Oh Tif, I am so sorry to hear this news. But I am so happy they have found some answers for you. It may seem very difficult now but I am sure with you being so strong that you will make these changes that are needed for easily. Hang in there and stay positive! BTW... there are a ton of yummy recipes out there that I am sure you will love. I have tried some and I even made a pumpkin cake for my close friend Jodie who was diagnosed with the same thing.

Everything will be OK. Rory found out he had type 2 diabetes at the same time he had his heart attack almost 2 years ago. He is doing great and lost over 50lbs. He has learned how to change he eating habits and so will you. Good Luck!

I am so sorry to hear about your bad news. I have given myself hundreds of shots and I was terrified at first, but honestly is really isn't bad. You won't beleive that in a few weeks you will think it is no big deal. My sis does a great cooking blog with tons of healthy things you can check it out sometime. Jamiecooksitup.blogspot.com/
