Half Marathon, Anniversary, Birthday - YIKES!

Saturday is the half marathon, I'm SO SO nervous! I'm hoping that I can do it as fast or faster than I did 8 years ago. This same race was my first race that I did that was longer than a 5k and I did it 5 days before I got married!!!! So I don't remember the fine details of the race, I remember the river and thinking it was beautiful.... So it will be fun to do it again and be able to remember the finer details... I'm SO nervous I think because this time around I have a running partner and I feel like I have let her down and I'm worried about have a horrible race and her feeling like she has to stay with me.... I'm worried I will beat myself up if I'm slower than 2:25 (my time from the last time I did it) I'm worried that my feet will hurt and that I will get blisters (something I can totally deal with as long as it's AFTER the race is done), thoughts and prayers would be appreciated...
So 8 years ago was my first half marathon and so it is our 8th Anniversary on the 16th, I'm still SO in love with my husband I know I love him more and more everyday. He is my rock, my sounding board, my salvation, my best friend, he understands me and loves me despite this. I wish we could do something fun and exciting to celebrate our special day, but I'm happy as a clam to just sit at home and laugh together.
It is Andrew's 30th birthday on the 31st, again we aren't doing anything.... I may have a surprise or two up my sleeve but we shall see.....

I am so proud of you for doing this marathon!! What an amazing accomplishment it will be. And you have one of the best running partners ever!! She will push you and possibly pull you if she must but you know you could never disappoint her. Do this for you and feel good about whatever time you get. You are going to do awesome!! I'll be praying for you!!

Good luck on the half! Just don't let yourself go crazy mentally- I am sure you already know that, but I completely talked myself down when I was running my half and it killed my confidence. It was brutal.
Just be proud that you are doing it, because it takes a ton of work!
Happy Anniversary and birthday and everything. I hope it is a great weekend!
