Eva HengAi Housley

This is my sister-in-law Heather and her new daughter Eva! They left for China a week ago to adopt this sweet little girl. A few weeks ago we had a girls night out and we got her a cute outfit from her aunts, and I'm SO excited to see her in her new outfits, it looks like she LOVES to accesorize! I'm already in love with her cute hairdo and smile!! They have another daughter, Esther which they also adopted from China almost 2 years ago, she is going to be 3 next month. Eva turned 5 in October or November, she doesn't know english and has something wrong with her leg which will require a lot of surgery. They just got her yesterday, and my heart is so full of love and hope for them. As you can see she seems to be very happy and very good natured. She recognized Heather and her family from the pictures that they have sent to her. They have been going through the adoption process for the last year to get her. When I first heard that they were adopting a 5 year old, I thought they were crazy! And I also wondered about going out of order, but learned as long as the placement of the children you already have doesn't change that it's okay....... And I also know if anyone can handle this Mike and Heather and their family can! I'm hoping and praying that she can pick up english quickly and that she won't have to suffer too much from her leg.. I'm excited to talk to Esther and hear her side of things too. I guess Josh and Caleb brought things for her and she quickly picked them up and started playing with them, like stickers, she put them ALL over herself and everyone else, how cute!! I'm excited to meet her!! They had decided on the name Hannah before they left, but I guess in further discussion they wanted to give her a choice for what her name would be and their guide asked her which name and she picked Eva, which is just as cute as Hannah, but William has been "practicing" saying Me-How (hello in chinese) Hannah. I guess Eva is also quite the chatter box..... too bad no one but their guide can understand what she is saying!! My in-laws also went with them to get Eva so they could help out with the other kids. What an amazing opportunity for all of them to go to China, they have seen TONS of amazing things and got to walk the Great Wall. CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm so happy that she seems to be doing so well!!!
