What to do? What to do?

I need to earn some money. I don't want to do home parties (Scentsy, Pampered Chef, etc.) I have been thinking about applying to work at the local grocery store that is getting ready to open, but then today I was thinking about it and I would have to pay someone to watch Andrew and Matthew most days and I would have to be able to get there. If I can work somewhere locally then I'm sure I could get a ride from someone, but still. There are just some things that I really want to do, but we are too strapped for cash to be able to do them.
Working from home would really be the best thing, I don't know if I really want to watch kids but maybe I should give it a shot? IDK, if only......
How do people get sponsors??

My suggestion? Mystery shopping. I started doing it about 6 years ago. I did it basically as my part time job. I think, on average I earned $800-$1000 a month doing. But I was doing it hardcore. Then I got seriously burned out and stopped doing it all together. Probably during the last 2-3 years. I've recently gotten back into it a little, just to have an additional $200-$300 a month.

I'm not going to do anything and everything. I used to take really low paying jobs. I just did three yesterday and probably made $65 for about 90 minutes worth of work. Some shops let you take kids. Others don't. It can be pretty profitable. Oh, but you are an independent contractor, so you have to pay self-employment taxes. But you can deduct mileage and other things.

My husband and I just had this same exact conversation last night! I'd like to look for part time work in the evenings just to bring in some extra cash. Especially with the Holidays coming up. But, I haven't had a "real" job in almost 10 yrs!! And, it would be hard to juggle everything. But, with everything costing so much right now...the ends just aren't meeting.

I did daycare many moons ago, before I had my own 4. The money was nice but...it is exhausting. Not the kids, but dealing with the parents.

Are you talking about sponsors for your blog?

You could donate plasma. I did it for about 3 years, and you can make $50 a week just for going twice a week. I don't know if you could just come up with a schedule to do it when your husband is home.

I think you should give watching kids a chance but I totally understand that could get wearing. I don't know of any working from home jobs. I am not much help, sorry. I have thought about watching kids myself sometime in the future. Good Luck! :)

A few years ago a few girls in my neighborhood and I put together a boutique.
Each of us had a little something that we made and wanted to sell. It was around Christmas time.

Lindsey and I made signs with vinyl lettering, fancy soap, and a few other things that I thought people might like as Christmas gifts.
We made a good amount of cash. We ended up throwing a few of them in different areas around town.

Just an idea. Call me if you want ideas!

I know exactly how you feel. Its been a couple years since ive had a "job". I needed something that lets me be home to take the kids to school and be home to pick them up. I didnt want to work just to pay for a sitter. So I asked my school principal if they had any positions at the school that didnt need a teacher certificate.lol. Guess what, they did, I am now one of the Playground aides. Its only 1 1/2-2 hrs a day, but I have the same days off as my kids and it still gives me the time I need for volunteering at the school and since Im the PTO secretary, im always doing something there. Its not much, but its extra cash that I wouldnt have if I was just sitting at home.
