Family Christmas party and Christmas Eve

Matthew didn't want to go see Santa, he preferred standing on the chair and watching....
My cousin Heather and Andrew
Every year we have an extended family party with my grandpa's side of the family, everyone takes turns hosting the party and this year it was my grandparents turn, which actually means that its my grandma's turn.  She was STRESSED so say the least, my aunt Kim and I helped her, but she had a hard time making decisions.... But it went off without a hitch.  The Santa that she got to come was really good, he just took a REALLY long time to get to the part when the kids sit on his lap and tell him what they want, he had them sing and dance to a whole bunch of songs, it was cute, it did get a little annoying, but it was cute and the kids liked it.

Acting out the song "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer"

He called up my cousin Gary to be the Sugar Plum Fairy

Finally!!

Doesn't Matthew look thrilled,? It took a lot of convincing to get him up there...
For Christmas Eve we went bowling.  We had never taken the boys.  William went once for a birthday party, but it was Matthew's first time, he got SO excited to push the ball down the roller.  William beat me, granted they had bumpers, but still....

Oh Christmas tree

Heather came over and had dinner with us

Matthew had had enough of picture taking

then he decided to smile for one more

The boys in their jammies, couldn't find matching for the baby too

The baking of the cookies

They didn't taste very good, so we only gave him 3...

This is really how he fell asleep

Then Heather decided to take pictures of him while he was asleep

And he woke up.

To Heather...
You're supposed to let sleeping babies lie!

What a fun Christmas party for the kids! I love how they were all dressed as reindeer but you are probably right that probably was too long for the kids to wait to set on his lap. He looked like a good Santa!

I love how you went bowling on Christmas Eve, how fun!

I know you leave cookies out for Santa but I can't believe I never thought of baking cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve. What a fun tradition to do with your kids! I will have to that with Ayla next year!

Your baby is such a doll!
