Let's start with the bad and end on a happy note, yesterday I had my appointment with Maternal Fetal Medicine (high risk pregnancy doc), and the tech took my blood pressure, it was HIGH, then she did the ultrasound and she spent a LONG time looking at the baby's heart, I started freaking out thinking, "he's got a hole in his heart" or "he's going to have a heart defect", I know that the tech's can't tell you anything so I didn't ask, so she finished up and said the doctor would be in soon. She left, and I waited, and waited, and waited, and FINALLY she came in, we talked about my blood pressure and my sugar levels, they are also running high, then she did another ultrasound and again spent a LONG time looking at his heart she had me lay on my side so she could get a better look, and I asked are you looking for something? And she said that it looks like there is extra fluid around his heart. Then she said that I have to go to Primary Children's Hospital and get an ultrasound by the pediatric cardiologist, where they will do an echo on the baby. At the end of my appointment they did a non-stress test and my blood pressure went down, and the baby looked great, so that was good. So tomorrow we will go and see what's going on with his heart. Then from there we will need to consider having the baby at a different hospital that has a NICU, the hospital where my doctor delivers does not have a NICU.
The good news??? My youngest FINALLY pooped in the potty! He did it all by himself! I'm SO proud of him and I hope it sticks and that we are done!
