Update on me/us long post full of woman stuff

I got an IUD just over a year ago and haven't had any problems with it, except I've gained 35 pounds and after a month my period stopped completely, I'd heard that this could happen so I wasn't too worried about no period. Although, after going so many months you start to talk yourself into thinking you're prego, and after that long it was driving me crazy, so I want to get it out!! I had to pay full price to get the dang thing in, and so my dear sweet husband can/could only see how much we paid to get it in and kept telling me that I "promised" I would keep it in for at least 2 years................
Our insurance changed from when I got it in, to now, so I had to "break-up" with my amazing OBG that I've gone to for over 8 years. I had decided to move things locally anyway, driving to SL during my pregnancy with Matthew wasn't fun, especially when I got put on bed rest and had to be monitored twice a week! Anyways so I met with the new OB out here so that I could get the IUD out and also have my annual exam. We start talking about my issues and he stops me and says, you have Poly-cystic ovarian syndrome, I'm familiar with this as my best friend and several people I know have it. I tell him no that my last ob ran all those test on me and they all came back negative and he asks how long ago that was, it was at least 4 years ago so he says that since then I have gotten it, no tests have been done, but the more I think about it it does make sense... So he starts the exam and goes in and says "I don't see any strings" my heart starts racing and I think he's going to tell me that I am in fact pregnant, but no, he keeps prodding to find the IUD and after a loud sigh from me, stops and says that I need an ultrasound to find the IUD so that he knows where to go to get it out.
I went to have the ultrasound and they tell me that I need to talk to their financial counselor b/c per my insurance the ultrasound isn't a covered procedure and I need to decide if I want to get it and make payments or have them bill it to my insurance and see what happens. I'm totally freaking out at this point, I had heard all these horror stories from people about IUD's perforating uterus' and causing infections and also traveling into the abdomen and even into the lungs. I decide that we will just make payments and then in January when our flex benefits renew we can pay it off. Thinking that this would be okay with my husband I call to tell him what's going on and we get into a fight about finances!! So I'm upset for a lot of reasons I go in to get the ultrasound, I go in and she tells me its a vaginal ultrasound, yuck!! They are painful and not fun at all, but I want this stupid thing out so I get it done, she finds it, it has moved up and behind my uterus. At least it is still there and not in my stomach or lungs!!

Yesterday evening I get a call from his nurse, she tells me that he has looked at the ultrasound and feels the best/not as painful way to extract the IUD is to do it surgically!!! So next Wednesday I will get it out surgically............. what a HUGE hassle!! (but maybe my insurance will pay for the u/s now that i have to have surgery to get it removed!)

Yesterday I took Matthew to the pediatrician because he has had a cough for about 2 weeks and it isn't going away, she gives me a prescription for the cough and we are just talking about him and she asks me if he is speaking better, I tell her no not really so she wants us to go to Primary's to see an Audiologist! I will keep you updated, she also wants us to do more Signing Time, which I love but its really expensive and so I just DVR the ones on TV, the only time we watch it together is at night and so I don't think he's getting much of it I need to try to watch it more during the day. My neighbor had the Baby Signing Time and we would watch that one with them and he LOVED it and still uses the signs that he learned from that one, but not enough to effectively communicate with us..........

Can I get a break somewhere..........please
