Books and ignoring my other duties

I absolutely LOVE to read, I love to get lost in the story and find myself getting involved with the characters and really do get emotionally attached to them (yes I'm grieving that the Twilight series is done, and given the chance I would become a vampire)!! Anyways I finished a book today and it was a really good book, but it didn't leave me wanting more so I'm not sure if I want to read the rest of the series, it was 1 of 7. I finished the book, and then looked around my house and wanted to cry, mountain of laundry, dishes in the sink, crushed up goldfish in the living room, and Matthew with a sagging diaper and desperate for attention, I think I need help in time management........ Thank goodness Will was at school and then played at a friend's house otherwise I would've been getting mad at him for wanting me to play with him rather than reading, how pathetic am I? So here it is 5:45, not one dish has been cleaned, the vacuum is still in the closet, I have no idea what we're having for dinner and the cherry on the cake, I still haven't taken a shower...........

So what book was it!

I so know how it goes. Only my book reading days have now been replaced by wasting too much time playing freebie internet games. It would make you barf if I told you how much time I really spend every day doing that.

I am a read-aholic! I totally feel ya, sometimes the book just sucks you in and that is all you care about! There is always tomorrow to clean, the diaper probably has to be a same day thing ;)

Tiff-
Thanks for the honesty! It all sounds so familiar to me. Sometimes it just gets so overwhelming to be a mom. Thanks for coming to my house the other day. I have been thinking about you a lot. Let me know if there is anything I can do for ya. Love, Cam

I know what you mean. Sometimes when I'm into a book and the chores are mounting, I have to make it into a game. When one load of laundry is folded, I get to read one chapter. When the dishes are loaded, I get to read another chapter. The tough thing is stopping after one chapter. Most of the time I just read at night when the kids are in bed. I'm a night owl, and with no DVR or Tivo, there is never anything good on TV - so reading is a great option.
