Pink Eye, Reunion and trip to the ER all in one weekend!

Where to start? Okay so I took my little sister, cousin and friends to Lagoon on Thursday and my eyes were driving me crazy and I kept getting goopy stuff out of them. I went to dinner with my mother-in-law and sisters-in-law and my MIL took one look at me and said "you have pink eye, stay away from me!", fortunately my brother-in-law is a doc and he called in a prescription for me so I wouldn't have to try and find time to go to a doc, my MIL is also a nurse so he trusts her diagnosis................ anyway so we have been doing swimming lessons the last two weeks and our last day (Friday) I promised Will we could stay and swim but I woke up and couldn't open my eyes because they were glued shut with green goo, when Andrew got home at 8 am he thought I was asleep and then I made him jump when I said "hey sweets will you get me a warm washcloth so that I can open my eyes?" Fast forward to the family picnic at the park, I was already feeling self conscious as it was then I add red eye and my beautiful glasses, it was a lot of fun I wish more people had showed up but it was all good................ We got home from the park at about 10 and I was playing with Matthew, lifting him up by his legs and he squirmed and smacked his head on our coffee table, I picked him up and he threw up on me and that is a sign of concussion so we headed to the local ER well I had already gotten ready for bed so no bra and Andrew was so upset that he just wanted to leave.......by the time we got there he had quit crying and was asking for juice! I felt like the most horrible mother on the planet and he was being so sweet! So the doc looked at him and said there wasn't a lot they could do besides observe him for a few hours, William was with us because we didn't think to call a neighbor and see if he could go over there, so once we were in the ER and knew Matty was fine Andy and Will went home to get mom a shirt (and Bra) and see if Will could go somewhere. They came back with the iPod and the DS, meanwhile back at the er Matthew found pushing the chair around and trying to escape very entertaining and then he found the foaming hand sanitizer and that kept him facinated for about 10 minutes and thought it was funny to put in his hair and then decided mommy needed to be sanitized, including my hair........................... We were able to leave the er at 12:30 and everyone was fine! They said it was a mild concussion and to just watch him, count your blessings!

REUNION
Let's start with the bad and end on a good note, my eyes were still gross but the medicine had started to work and I just had a couple people ask me if I had been crying, but because I want to get rid of this and not have it come back I can't wear my make-up and contaminate it so I was all natural, just lovely, with glasses.....yuck! Most of the girls I used to hang out with are either the same size 6 that they were in H.S. or are smaller, some after 3 kids?? We had a slide show of current pictures and for some reason when I tried to send ours in it wouldn't attach. I forgot my camera.....
Now for the good I was AMAZED at how many people showed up, most everyone decided to be on their best behavior so it wasn't as high school drama as I thought it would be. It was SO FUN to see the people that did come, everyone I talked to said they were enjoying themselves and thanked me for helping put it together. All in all it was a good night I was happy I went and if someone else is in charge for the 20 year I MIGHT help again, what can I say, I'm a sucker for needy people LOL!!!
